Hinugot sa Langit (1985)

A young office employee, Carmen Castro has liaison with a married man even if she has a faithful suitor from Davao. When she discovers she is pregnant, both her lover and confidante, Stella, advise her to have an abortion. Her landlady, Juling, a fanatical bom-again Charismatic, advises her to let the child live. Carmen decides to have an abortion, and, upon her return to the boarding house, witnesses a quick string of events: the murder of Juling by a slumdweller she ordered evicted from her land, the nervous breakdown of her friend, and the departure of both her suitor and lover. Carmen emerges from these experiences wiser, stronger and more resolute in facing up to a new phase in her life.
